I am searching my family roots with my surnames beginning with my father who is a descendant of WHITSON ARNOLD LANCASTER and VELMA ELDER, both lived in Wichita Falls, TX. Whitsons' parents were GEORGE DELANEY LANCASTER and his wife was EVA WHITSON. Velmas' parents were QUINTON D. ELDER and MARY LOU "MOLLIE" TOMLINSON. My mother is RUTHIE who was born in 1941 in Anadarko, OK. Her parents are ARIE LEE BURLESON born 1914 Graham,TX. and died 1983 in Wichita Falls, TX. He married HAZEL THATCHER born 1920 in Anadarko,OK. They were married in 1938 in Ringling, OK. My BURLESON line goes back to AARON BURLESON who was born in 1695 in possibly Caerleon, Manmouth, Wales. and he died in 1763 Rutherford Co.,N.C. The most common surnames I am researching are: Lancaster, Burleson, Weatherford, Elder, Tomlinson, Green, Watkins, Jones, Thatcher, Vanwinkle, Hendricks, Shipman, Hudson, Reese, Bogard, Gardner and others who belong in my family tree. My most sought after kin would be MARY AGNES "LIZZIE" WATKINS who married into my JONES line. Her father was killed as a Confederate Soldier and her Cherokee mother was murdered with babe in arms as Lizzie and her brothers witnessed in hiding from Carpetbaggers. My site is continually under construction, so take this into consideration. As I receive new information, I'll add it. As I receive poor information, it will later be changed with further research, so please keep this in mind. I am working hard at keeping the work updated and correct. I should include that it is getting difficult to keep up to a tremendous amount of email that I receive and if I cannot find anything for you I may not be able to respond to your querie. Have fun & Enjoy your visit here... If you are searching for information on Red Eagle, Lynn Hastie has written a wonderful book called William Weatherford His Country and His People. Her book is in hardback and would make a wonderful book in your genealogy collection for any Weatherford researcher. To order a copy of her book just scroll down to my links and click.
