Additional Biographical Information
Elijah was one of 6 Sons of Silas and Catherine Elliott Gore. He was in the South at the out break of the War and chose to stay and fight for the Confederacy while 5 of his brothers fought for the Union. He was never heard from after the War. Last records we have on him was his admittence to the Yandell Hospital in Meridian, MS after his release from Ft. Delaware prison at the end of the war. We are still searching for his final resting place.
