Additional Biographical Information
Fought at Chickamaug, GA September 19th and 20th 1863. Was pinned down by a shot horse and captured by Confederates. Was prisoner of war at Libby prison, VA for eight months when released in exchange for Confederate soldier. Fought in battle of Shiloh, siege of Corinth, Buell's march on Louisville, Campaign of Murfreesboro and battle of Kenesaw Mountain. Visited Gettysburg 7 times after the war.
