My grandfather joined the Union Forces in Nashvilleat the age of 16 years. He was wounded in a battlenear Shellbyville Tenn. but remained in the serviceuntil the wars end. He married and raised his familyin Daviess Co. Ky.... died in Indiana at the age of79 years.
