Linking Photos, Files, Web Sites, and
GEDCOMs to Your Home Page
Exclusive Area -- Family Tree Maker Version 4.4 or Later Customers Only

• To link .jpg or .gif photos to your home page, you must know the location of the photos on your computer.
• To link .txt or .html files to your home page, you must know the location of the files on your computer.
• To link GEDCOM trees to you home page, you must know the location of the tree on your computer.
• To link other Web sites to your home page, you must know the Web address (URL) of the Web site. This is generally something that starts with http://.

When you know the location of the file or the Web site URL, go to the appropriate section of your home page and click the Add to or Edit This Section link. After clicking this link, FamilyTreeMaker.com will present you to with a short form to fill out. After providing the required information you click a button and the process is complete! Your new photo or other item will be linked with your home page shortly. Also note that:

• In addition to the photos, Web sites, and files, your home page can have links to:
  • Up to five genealogy reports, including Outline Descendant Trees, Custom reports, and Genealogy reports (Register, NGS Quarterly, and Ahnentafel)
  • A Family Tree Maker book
  • A box-style InterneTree^TM
