• Philip Jackson Gossard family photo (62 KB)
  Philip Jackson Gossard was a civil war vet.This photo shows his family including to the far left his son, Amzi Philip Gossard and Amzi's wife, Olive Marguerite Bovee directly in front. Amzi was my great grandfather and Philip my gggrandfather. Philip is shown as the older bearded gentleman with cane more in the center of the photo.
• Lloyd and Perry Biddle, Civil War Photo (36 KB)
  Lloyd was 17 and his father Perry was 41 when they joined the Union army in Marietta Ohio. I love this photo as it shows them with well deserved "bravado" adding a bit of humor. Perry was killed in battle, and Lloyd survived a confederate prison, came home and built a thriving saloon which burnt down costing him his lifes savings as he had no insurance. (It must be that old Biddle curse!)
