Welcome to the home page of the family of Don & Debi Abbott. While our Abbott family lived in Buffalo, N.Y., its roots are traced back to early New England with some settlement in the Rochester New York area. While we have traced back to George Abbott and his wife Hannah Chandler in the 1600's, we are in the process of verifying this connection. I am part of the family of Luman Abbott & his wife Eileen Clare. His family came from Rochester where his grandfather, Charles H. was raised. Our Abbotts came to Rochester when Philip Abbott and his wife Polly Ottersen settled there in the early 1800's. Philip died and Polly returned to New England. Our Abbott's include George & Hannah, Nathaniel & Dorcas, Nathaniel & Penelope, Nathaniel & Miriam, Joshua & Polly, Philip & Polly, Luman (wife unknown), Charles & Margery, Luman & Mildred and Luman (Jr.) & Eileen (my parents).
