The Descendants of Lewis Jefferson Abbott

I have been researching the family of Lewis Jefferson and Priscilla Ann (Childers) Abbott for about four years.He was born in Stone Mt., GA in 1832, and she was born in Coosa Co., AL in 1836. The were married at Newsite,AL, in 1855, and lived there until after the civil war. I have most of the info on them and their eleven children. However, a few gaps remain to be filled. I have several Marriage Licenses, Birth and Death certificates, obituaries, and many old photos. I have yet to find the names of Lewis Jefferson's father, mother, and siblings.

Lewis Jefferson Abbott was a Confederate veteran. He joined the 47th Alabama Volunteers in 1862. I have military records, pension records, and the history of his unit.

Any and all help from interested family members would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share my research with verified family members in exchange for their input.
