I have been researching my family history for several years now and have found out so much information, however there is so much more that I would like to find out. I am usually working between four different families (fathers side and mothers side). It gets confusing some times, but I find it fascinating. On my fathers side I can go back to 1870 in England, Sherwood Forest, Nottingham etc. William Stevenson was married to Lucy Gee and had a son Frank Stevenson, who was my fathers father. They lived on Pierrepoint Street in the District of Snenton, in the County of Notthingham, England. His father was a Lace Maker. Do not know if Frank had any brothers or sisters. He evidently moved from England to France for a time before coming to America. He arrived in Rhode Island and married a women named Mary Ann. Don't know if he married her in France or USA. I have records of her having 3 still born babies and then she died. He became an American Citizen on Dec. 28th 1895 in Providence, Rhode Island. He married my grandmother on Oct. 17, 1914 (Lillian Spencer) at Philadelphia in accordance with License issued by the Clerk of the Orphans Court of Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, numbered 319097. They moved back to Rhode Island, where my father was born on Sep. 11, 1915 in River Point.
