THE EDWARD L. ABERCROMBIES OF PLAIN CITY, OHIO

From the cotton fields of Shelby and Walker Counties to the coal mines, limestone,dolomite, and coking pits used in Iron and Steel Mills of Jefferson County in Birmingham,Bessemer,Fairfield and other areas around Birmingham, Ala. Our Ancestors were the laborers that worked ln the coal and pig iron mines; fired the furnaces to make the Steel and Coke that help make Birmingham the Iron City. (The Vulcan).
We are searching for the descendants of Frank and Helendra Abercrombie, their Sons William and Lee Abercrombie. To this date, we have over 100 Families on our Data Base; we have had 4 Reunions starting in Columbus, Ohio in 1995; Clinton, Maryland in 1997; Birmingham, Ala. in 1999; Charleston, West Virginia in 2001; and we are looking forward to Altanta, Georgia in 2003.
