Estes Family Most Wanted:

Burial location and dates of death of John Robert Estes and wife Ellen. John, who was
a merchant in Demopolis, is last found in the 1860 Marengo County, Alabama census.
Ellen is last found in the 1870 census of that county.

Who were the parents of John Robert Estes, born ca 1808 in Virginia or England? He
had relocated to Alabama by 1837.

Who were the parents of Ellen Estes.  Her maiden name may been Rose.  She was born
in Virginia circa 1812.  Ellen married John R. Estes, probably in Virgina, sometime prior
to about 1829.

What happened to Julia Estes, daughter of John and Ellen?  She married Auslen Hull on
Feb. 26, 1850 in Marengo County, Alabama.  On the 1860 Marengo County census she is
found living in the household of her parents with her 3 children, Ellen, Emma and Jolene.
By 1870, she and the children are gone.

The fates of several of the children on Taylor Lomax Estes and Alice Fayetta Woodward
are unknown.  These are John Robert, Lillie b. 4/2/1883, and Willis Alvis b. 7/1/1884.
