The Abney Family Home Page WFT #553 Vol #139

1. I have been researching the Abney Family for many years. Have run into problems due to the fact that many of the ancesters were Native Americans. Looking for the father of Walter Ray Abney born in Arkansas in 1898. His mother was Josie Catherine Webb. The 1910 census shows him as the adopted son of James C. Abney & Nancy Webb (his grandmother). Trying to find out the story behind this. He married Grace May Green. Came to California in the 1930's.
2. Also looking for more information on the parents of Grace Gertrude Summers (1921-1990). Parents names were Lawrence James Summers and Grace Gertrude Chase. Both born in the the 1880's. Believed to have been born in Northern Califonia.
3. Looking for histories on the Mercer & Longhurst families from England (Kent & SW England).
