Joseph Cooke and Ellen Lowe emigrated to US in 1888. They came together but were not married until they reached Fall River MA where there were Lowes already established, working in the mills. Their First Child, Theresa was born there in May, 1893. After that date but prior to April 1895 when their second child, Agnes was born they moved to Paterson NJ where Joseph worked as a Loom Fixer. They resided at 1263 Madison Ave. At a later date they bought a house at 20 Park St. Paterson where they lived out their lives. The house was left to Agnes with the proviso that she care for her aunts and uncles, should the need arise.
