Jacobus Ackerman (b. Apr 1696, d. 29 May 1784)

Jacobus Ackerman (son of Lawrence Ackerman and Geertje Egberts)^{25, 26} was born Apr 1696 in Hackensack, NJ²⁶, and died 29 May 1784 in Crystal Lake, NJ (?)²⁶. He married Dirkje Van Giesen on 19 May 1730 in Acquackanonk Ref. Ch.²⁶, daughter of Abraham Ryniers Van Giesen and Fytje Andriesse.

All Children born in Crystal Lake, Franklin Twp., recorded in Bible in Dutch. Jacobus purchased property with his brother Johannes on 19 May 1727 from George Willocks and Andrew Johnstone, "Patentees" 440 acres with cedar swamp. Deed in clerk's office, Bergen, NJ. On
30 Sep 1728 Johannes released his share to Jacobus. The property remained in the family for four generations. NJ Rte. 208 runs through the middle of it.
