2. JEANNETTE JOHANNA² BREHM (ANTON¹) was born September 28, 1817. She married JOHANNES ADAM WERNING January 12, 1840 in Dankerode, Germany. He was born August 16, 1812.

She is buried west of Newhall, Iowa in St. John's Cemetery.

Notes for CONRAD ANTON WERNING:
Conrad Anton Werning's granddaughter was Maria Schmidt from Germany. Frieda Geiken corresponded with her. Her son was postmaster of Schwartzenhasel and commutes. She has five sons and two daughters. She lost an eight-year-old from pneumonia. Two sons died in WWII in September and October of 1943 - one in Italy and one in Russia. Her husband died in 1957. In 1965, her son who lived on the homeplace died in a two-car crash. He was married and had twins - one boy and one girl - born in 1950. They and Maria live and carry on the farmwork.

3. JUSTUS² BREHM (ANTON¹) was born March 25, 1828 in Dankerode, Germany, and died November 29, 1918 in Iowa. He married MARTHA JULIANNE GEORGE February 1, 1852 in Dankerode, Germany. She was born July 6, 1834 in Harnel, Germany, and died March 10, 1904 in Iowa.

Notes for JUSTUS BREHM:
Justus was the sixth child of Anton and Anna Pfaffenbach Brehm. He came to the United States in 1875 when he was forty-seven years old. They settled in Iowa. They went to live with the Jacob Brehm family in 1900. Freida Brehm Geiken remembers her brother, Louie, filling Grandpa's pipe, and how he often harnessed the horse to the buggy so Grandpa Brehm could go to town. Martha Brehm died in 1904 at the age of seventy, but Justus continued to live with the Jake Brehm family near Newhall, Iowa, until they moved to Van Horne in March of 1913. He then went to live with his daughter and her family, Anna and Lewis Schlotfelt, until he died at the age of ninety.\\\\

I have a picture of Justus and Martha Brehm as an older couple.

Anna Martha Brehm died as a young infant and is buried in Germany.
