22. EOBANUS HEINRICH FRIEDRICH "VANUS"4 BREHM (CONRAD ADAM3, JUSTUS2, ANTON1) was born July 20, 1890 in Bern, Nemeha County, KS, and died August 20, 1946. He married EMMA LEE WINKLER August 10, 1916. She was born July 23, 1898, and died July 8, 1993.

Helen was co-owner of the H. A. Hart Real Estate and Insurance Company in Dodge City, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Win-A-Couple Sunday School Class, Meals on Wheels and the Parkinson's Support Group, all of Dodge City, and the Kansas Genealogy Society.

She is survived by her husband, Orville Brehm, of the home; three daughters, Barbara Davison, Calumet, OK; Sue Rice, Guatemala City, Guatemala; and Marilyn Rexford, Meade, KS; one brother, Edgar Sisson, Winfield; three sisters, Louise Gann, Shreveport, LA; Jean Kaufman, Medicine Lodge, KS; and Carol Williamson, Clearwater, KS; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church, Dodge City, with Mr. Larry Williams officiating. Burial followed at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.

The family suggest memorials to either the First Christian Church or Parkinson's Support Group, both of Dodge City, in care of the funeral home.

23. GEORGE MARTIN WILHELM4 BREHM (CONRAD ADAM3, JUSTUS2, ANTON1) was born June 3, 1892, and died April 19, 1972. He married (1) IDA PEARL AMOS June 8, 1916. She was born November 2, 1897, and died September 16, 1970. He married (2) EMMA LEE WINKLER BREHM September 13, 1947. She was born July 23, 1898, and died July 8, 1993.

Irvin always referred to George as "Boss."

26. FRED ADOLPH4 DIERS (ANNA CHRISTINA3 BREHM, JUSTUS2, ANTON1) was born January 29, 1882, and died April 1, 1959. He married JENNY ELEANOR POLLOK August 4, 1904. She was born March 20, 1885, and died August 14, 1957.

Obituary
      Jeanne Eleanor Pollok, one of 12 children was born March 20, 1885 and died August 14, 1957. Her father was I. H. Pollok, her mother was Susan Steele Buchannan. All preceded her in death except one brother, Harry C. Pollok, of Los Angeles, California; one niece, Mrs. Jean Greaber, Los Angeles; and one nephew, Hal Pollok, New York City.
      She was born in Decatur, Iowa and graduated from high school in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Lather she moved to Kinsley where she taught school. Then she moved to Manitou, Colorado, and later to Pueblo, Colorado, where she was married to Fred A. Diers August 4, 1904. They lived west of Kinsley where a son, Herman H. was born. For awhile the family lived in Offerle, and then moved to Kinsley where a daughter, Harriet Clare, was born. They then moved to a farm five miles west of Kinsley where they have resided since. Here another daughter, Jeanne Eleanor, was born.
      Surviving are her husband, Fred; her son, Herman, Denver; her two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Moletor, Kinsley, and Mrs. Jeanne McSpadden, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and one grand-daughter, Margaret Ann McSpadden, Albuquerque. She was a member of the Congregational Church where she was active. She belonged to the Delphian Society, the Kinsley ladies chorus, and the Ladies Society of the Congregational church in Kinsley.
      She had a greatness of character and dignity, of a true Christian Spirit. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother, and a loyal friend.
      Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock, August 17th, at the McKillip chapel, Kinsley, with the Rev. Malcolm V. White, officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Offerle.
      Active pallbearers: Chester Bidleman; John J. Riisoe; W. O. Kuhn; Carl McKee, Jr. Spearville; Milton Heinz; Joe Heinz.
      Honorary pallbearers: Ed Peterson; Wm. Weyrich; P. J. Heinz; Clarence Matthews; Harry Offerle, George Edman.
      Here from out of town for the funeral were: Herman H. Diers, Denver, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. Don McSpadden, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Miss Margaret Ann McSpadden, Albuquerque; Mr. Carl McKee, Sr., Spearville; Mr. and Mrs. Carl McKee, Jr., C. E., Mar Jeanette, and Ann, Spearville; Mrs. Gail Hubbell, Spearville; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. McKee, Spearville; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Baringer and Gene, Hutchinson.

Herman worked for Stearns-Roger of Denver, Colorado.

He died in a motel from asphyxiation when a birds' nest plugged the chimney.

  ii.   HARRIET CLARE DIERS, b. December 23, 1912; d. December 21, 1995, Kinsley, KS; m. MYRL CLIFFORD MOLETOR, July 14, 1928; b. June 21, 1905; d. April 22, 1969.
  Notes for MYRL CLIFFORD MOLETOR:
Myrl died at the Kinder Kare Rest Home in Kinsley, KS after a long illness from a stroke.
He was a retired stockman and farmer.
He was a member of the Kinsley Congregational Church and the Kinsley Gun Club.
He was buried in the Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley, KS.

  iii.   JEANNE ELEANOR DIERS, b. July 10, 1921; m. (1) DON MCSPADDEN, March 7, 1941; m. (2) DALE H. JONES, May 18, 1959.


27. MARIA MARTHA "MARY" CAROLINE4 DIERS (ANNA CHRISTINA3 BREHM, JUSTUS2, ANTON1) was born November 1, 1883 in Cincinnati, Pawnee County, Nebraska, and died April 4, 1969. She married CARL EMMITT MCKEE October 6, 1904. He was born September 5, 1882, and died July 11, 1966.

She was baptized in the home of Hermann Diers on February 20, 1884 with Pastor Otto Neithammer Franig. Sponsors were: Martha Katz, Maria Katz,

Her funeral services were held on Monday, April 7, 1969, at 2:00 p.m. in the McKillip Memorial Chapel, Kinsley, KS. Officiating were Rev. Victor V. Victoria, Federated Church, Spearville, KS and Rev. Boyd Bonebrake, minister of the Congregational Church, Kinsley, KS. Interment was in the Kinsley Cemetery, Kinsley, KS

Carl's services were held Thursday, July 14, 1966, at 9:00 a.m. at the Federated Church, Spearville, KS. Officiating was Rev. Earl Estill. Interment was in the Kinsley Cemetery, Kinsley, KS.

Obituary from Spearville News:
      Justine Hill Stickler, 93, died March 14, 1999, at Burlington Life Care Center, Burlington.
      Born October 24, 1905, near Bellefont, she was the daughter of Carl and Mary (Diers) McKee. Reared near Bellefont, she lived with her grandparents during high school and graduated from Kinsley High School. She earned her teaching certificate from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. In 1926, she began a long career in teaching Business and Commerce classes at Burlington High School. In 1942, she took a break, but returned in 1955, and taught until her retirement in 1970. She had been sponsor for the school yearbook and sponsored and directed many plays.
      She was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church and was past-president of the United Methodist Women. She had been a member of the Cola Hill Grange and later the Neosho Valley Grange and the Travelers Club.
      On August 31, 1941, she married Howard Holt Hill at Spearville. He died December 30, 1974. On August 1, 1979, she married Frank R. Stickler at Burlington. He survives.
      Survivors: husband, Frank, Burlington; a son, Ray Hill, Lincoln, NE; a daughter, Jane Griffith, Burlington; a step-daughter, Jadene Colglazier, Larned; a brother, Carl McKee, Jr. Dodge City; a sister, Fannie Hubbell, Spearville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
      The funeral will be March 18, at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Burlington. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Burlington.
      Memorials may be made to the Burlington United Methodist Church, Burlington High School for a scholarship, or the Alzheimer's Association.
