Notes for John Everett Adams: The following paper was found in the Military Pension File of Edward G. Adams State of Iowa, County of Dallas S.S. Affidavit of Lydia Duck In the matter of Mary C. Adams, Widow of Edward Adams a private in Co. C 39 Ind. Reg. Vol. Inf. Whose application is now on file in the pension office in Washington City for herself and her four minor children that according to the pension laws of this government it becomes necessary to support and sustain by affidavit the following event. "to-wit" that on the third day of Jan. 1889, I was called waited upon assisted and delivered the said Mary C. Adams of a male child now living and named John Everet Adadams. The family physician coming at some time thereafter, pronounced all well done. I further state that I have no interest in the prosecution of this suit. Nor am I any wise concerned in its prosecution. My post office address is Linden Dallas County Iowa. My age is 46 years. Lydia Duck Subscribed and sworn to before me George Boots a notary public in and for Dallas Co. and state of Iowa this the 2nd day of November 1893
