On November 17, 1997 I was reunited with my biological cousin, Nancy Craig, in Ontario, Canada. Having been adopted at the age of 10 months in Montreal, Quebec I never knew who or where my biological family was. However, I never ceased yearning to know the answers to these questions. Eventually, through alot of hard work and persistance, I finally managed to find my birthname and that of my biological mother's. Unfortunately, my mother died on February 18, 1975 at the age of 47. I was, as mentioned above, reunited with cousins and one aunt. For this I will be eternally grateful. Through genealogical research I've been in contact with several very distant cousins. It was well over one year after finding my original name, that I stumbled upon the name of the person my mother, Marilyn Sue Forsythe, married when she was 20 years old. He was 18 years old. I discovered they were married in 1948 and divorced in 1957. I had been born in May 1952 and Marilyn had never told Bruce about my birth since they were separated by that time. Although Bruce Fleming was not my biological father, he has become part of the Forsythe Family Tree by way of marriage to my mother. That's why I have included some of his Family Tree as well. |
