| The research that has gone into this archive is not a one person job. It has taken many hours by myself, my mother in law, Ceola Adkins, and my cousin Wanda DiGidio. I want to thank the family members that helped me to gather and research the material needed for this task. It has been a true labor of love. This is a very extended family tree that has limbs reaching from Rhineland/Phalz, Germany to the West Coast of the United States and many, many points in between. Our branches embrace many nationalities and many people. It has been our intention to share our heritage with others searching for their roots and hopefully, to find some comfort in knowing what our ancestors went through and what they faced in the past. We come from a brave people. And I for one am very proud of them all. I now believe that if they could endure the hardships and trials that they did, then there is hope for us in the future.
