I have been gathering names, dates and places all of my life. As a person interested in the family tree, I was always curious about who was related to whom, where they came from and of course the dates of their births, deaths and places of origin. Our family heritage varies a lot. When asked my nationality, I would say, Irish, French, German, Swedish and probably more - I would say just a "mutt." But with so many nationalities, we all claimed fame to many countries around the world. Our family tree is increasing now with our children marrying and having children of their own. We are getting to be a large group.
Our families live in the New York area. My father lived in NYC and my mother was born and raised in Cape Breton Island, NS, Canada and came to NY in 1927. My husband's parents were born in Arendal, Norway and Erland, Sweden. They came to NY at a very young age, lived in NY for several years then relocated to Presque Isle, ME. All the other family members hailed primarily from the NY area.
