OBITUARY (source: Newspaper clipping found in Florence Houghton's home)

Myrtle Geneva, daughter Leroy & Pearl Cohoe, was born at Kyle, SD, December 7, 1911. Later with her parents she moved to Burr Oak, NE, and on March 1, 1915 came to Wisconsin, settling on the Harry Young farm near Patch Grove.

March 12, 1916, she became ill. They summoned medical assistance and all was done that loving hands could do, but God knew best and called the precious little jewel home. Myrtle was a beautiful child, with dark brown eyes and face as fair as a lily; her sweet baby prattle as she played with other children from morn till eventide, and what expectations awaited the fond parents as they daily watched her develop, thinking that in a few years she would be a beautiful woman.

She leaves to mourn a loving father and mother, sister Velma and brother Delbert, besides grandparents and other near relatives. Funeral services were held March 30th at 2 o'clock at the house, Rev Waste officiating. Burial was at Nagle cemetery. (clipping from Lancaster(?) newspaper)
