This page is devoted to research on my paternal family line, the Scriveners of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The Scriveners were in Anne Arundel County by the early 1700's and several generations of the family still live in Anne Arundel and nearby Calvert County. The earliest Scrivener that I have found in this line is Richard, whose two sons, John and Richard, appear in the register of St. James Parish. I am also interested in the collatoral lines of the Barber, Boswell, Childs, Dent, Gwynn, Kent, Lewin, Somervell, Smith, Turner, and Weems families of Maryland. I would be happy to exchange information with other researchers. |
