1. WILLIAM¹ STREET was born 1680 in England or Virginia, and died 1752 in Caroline Co., Virginia. He married JANE WADDY.

"I believe about 1690 William Street's father moved from either Port Royal or Port Tobago in Rappahannock County or from Hanover to near the Newtown Area in what was then New Kent County, Virginia. In 1691 the Newtown area became part of King and Queen County, Virginia and still is. William may have married Jane Waddy born in 1685. When William bought land before 1704, it was to the northwest part of King William County; which became Caroline County as near as 8 miles from Newtown. This would put William's son Anthony, c 1710, in the proximity of Newtown where Samuel and John Brockman and James Madison Sr. also lived during the time Anthony grew up. Anthony married Elizabeth (Betsey) Brockman in about 1725 in either New Kent or King and Queen County, Virginia. Betsey was also born c1705 near Newtown, Virginia. Anthony and Betsey are known to have lied in Caroline, Spotsylvania and Amherst Counties, Virginia. He died in Amherst County on June 7, 1790. Potential names of William's father and grandfathers include Henry, George and John."

Jane Waddy was the sister of Anthony Waddy who was the father to Hannah Waddy who was married to John Street.
