4. NOAH2 RAYBURN (THOMAS1) was born September 1795 in Georgia, and died August 10, 1862 in Tennessee. He married ELIZABETH MCSWINE Abt. 1818 in Tennessee. She was born February 1800 in Tennessee, and died March 28, 1865 in Lafayette Mississippi; buried Dallas Cemetery.

Birth-Marriage-Death-Residence-Family #598, Lafayette Co. Mississippi History - Noah Rayburn was born September 1795 in Georgia. About 1818 was married to Elizabeth McSwine, who was born February 1800 in Tennessee. Noah's father was Thomas Rayburn/Raiborne and his mother was Rebecca (Rachel) Adams who was born in Virginia. Thomas Rayburn was in Montgomery County, Dickson, Tennessee in 1799 and died there August 14, 1799 (will date).

From: "The Heritage of Lafayette County, Mississippi":
Noah Rayburn signed petition October 12, 1812 to Tennessee State Senator for company to be raised to protect Hickman Co., Tenn. from hostile savages. Noah's family along with brothers John, Benjamin, William and sister Rebecca, migrated from Humphrey Co., Tenn. to Cotton Gin Port, Alabama Teritory (Monroe Co. Miss. 1820) located on the Tombigee River.
Noah's other brother Howell A. Rayburn joined the Rayburns there in 1819 after his discharge from the army. Benjamin B. Rayburn migrated to Opelouses Louisiana. Prior to 1840 Noah, John and Howell A. Rayburn migrated to Lafayette Co. Miss.
Noah was President of Lafayette Co. Police Board in 1842. Noah died August 10, 1862 and is buried next to his wife Elizabeth in Dallas, Mississippi Cemetery. They had seven known children. (Report prepared by Jack P. Freeman Jr. 729 St. Charles Street, Warminster, PA 18974.)

Benjamin B. Rayburn moved first from Louisiana to Clark Co., Arkansas where his wife Jincey died. He married 2nd Emeline (?) and moved family to Red River Co., Texas. His no. 1 son Elisha T. died in a civil war prison camp (Rock Island, IL); his second son, William J. Rayburn married Lysian Gray. She died in childbirth withWilliam Franklin rayburn. Franklin has a daughter Mamie.
