Axel Herbert Ahlberg 2775 Tartan Lane Colorado Springs,Colorado 80920-5387 719-531-6399 | Thanks to WFT data, data from my mother and my Aunt Bette, books from the NEHGS, and internet correspondents Arthur E. Putnam, William Putman (of the PUTMAN/PUTNAM Web page) and Ann Britton,I've been able to put together a pretty solid lineage on my maternal grandmother's side, the HARTWELLs, PUTNAMs, and part of the MCBOWEN lineage. Now I am trying to locate data on my maternal Grandfather's line, the JOHNSON family in Michigan around 1890.My Grandfather, Anthony Sylvester JOHNSON was born in Saginaw in 1883.If you have data on this line please lend me a hand!!!My father, same name as I, Axel Herbert AHLBERG, came to San Francisco from Sweden circa 1935-1940.He was born Aug 2 1906 in Pitea, Sweden.Turns out his home town has a Home Page on the 'net where I was able to post a query.I was impressed that Pitea had a Home Page since it's only 80 miles from the Arctic Circle. My father had a family in Sweden before he came to the U.S.His father, Albert Fredrik AHLBERG,is reputed to have been in the harbor dredging business up and down the Eastern coast of Sweden and had no permanent home in Sweden that I know of. My wife's family name is BEHLER and has many relatives living in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. My wife's mother's maiden name was EMERICH, also from the Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey area. Thanks to the efforts of my Sister-in-Law Arlean FERMANIS, I was able to obtain extensive data on my wife's father Arlin Edgar BEHLER with his lineage going back to 18th century Germany. |
