Notes for Levi Todd: Educated in Virginia with elder brothers. Levi studied law,became a surveyor & moved to Kentucky in 1776. he was an officer under George Rogers Clark & Rose to the rank of major-general. he was one of the pioneer settlers of Kentucky Living at Fort Harrodsburg, Logan's Fort & Todd's station. He became one of the first lot owners in the newly found town of Lexington, Kentucky on Dec. 26, 1781. Levi built a brick residence outside the city limits of Lexington on Boonesboro Rd. he named his home "Ellerslie" after the Todd ancestral home in Scotland. As a member of the military he eventually earned the rank of General.
