This is an unofficial web-site for people of Russian Molokan or Subbotnik heritage. Its purpose is to encourage information sharing and joint family history research. These two groups of non-Orthodox religious sectarians, originally from the Tambov area, were exiled to Trans-Caucasia (Armenia, Georgia, Russian-occupied Turkey) in the 19th century. In the early 1900's, many of them emigrated to California, Arizona, Oregon and Baja California.

I am most interested in gathering and sharing genealogy data on the following familes names:

ABAKUMOFF
AGALSOFF (AGALZOFF)
ALDACUSHION (ALDAKUSHIN or Алдакушин )
BABASHOFF (BABESHOFF, BABISHOFF)
BOLDEROFF
FEDEROFF
KONNOFF
MOHOFF
MOISEVE
PIVOVAROFF (PIVAROFF)
SAMADUROFF
SAMARIN
SHUBIN
TOLMASOFF
TOLMACHOFF
VICHKONOFF

Please send me a note if you are interested in discussing this topic or if you would like to share information. I have appreciated the contacts I have made so far though this site and will continue to connect parties interested in the same family histories.

Note: This site has no affiliation with and does not represent any church, religious or family organization, but respectfully uses the names Molokan and Subbotnik to describe two groups of people with a unique ethnic and religious heritage.
