Ellis Orlando Bremer (son of Martin Ludwig Bremer and Alma Augusta Selle) was born 18 Apr 1903 in Taloga, OK, and died 26 Oct 1968 in St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. He married Durena Leona Maloney on 21 Nov 1931 in Milwaukee, WI.
Notes for Ellis Orlando Bremer: Obituary, The Milwaukee Journal, October 27, 1968: "Ellis O. Bremer, Sat., Oct. 26, 1968, of 519 N. 98th aged 65 years, beloved husband of Durena L. (nee Maloney), dear father of Marlene Dotson and Eugene O. Bremer, father-in-law of David L. and Virginia, brother of Alvin of Chineo [sic], Calif.; Martin of Moline, Ill., and Sidney of Columbia, S.C.; further survived by 7 grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Tues., 2:30 p.m., at the Schmidt-Bartelt-Gerber Funeral Home. 10121 W. North av., Wauwatosa, to Wisconsin Memorial Park. In state Mon. after 4 p.m. Mr. Bremer was a past exalted ruler and trustee of the Milwaukee Elks lodge No. 46 and a council member and the financial secretary of the Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran church. Milwaukee Elks Lodge, No. 46 will hold a lodge of sorrow at 7:30 p.m. Monday."
