Notes for Delys Coleen Bremer: Obituary, Delys "Dee" Coleman, Times-Citizen (online), Iowa falls, IA January 28, 2004: "MUSCATINE-Delys, "Dee," Coleman, 77, (February 23, 1926-January 24, 2004) of Muscatine, formerly of Iowa Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at the Riverbend Nursing and Rehab, Muscatine. Memorial services will be Thursday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. at Linn's Funeral Homes, Iowa Falls Chapel. Private burial will be at a later date. Delys "Dee" was born Feb. 23, 1926, at Iowa Falls to Granville E. and Dorothy E. [Musel] Bremer. She attended Iowa Falls Community Schools graduating with the class of 1944. She was united in marriage to John Coleman in 1946. He passed away at age 42 due to complications of diabetes. Dee had been employed as a secretary in Chicago, Ill., and Des Moines and later retired to Iowa Falls to be near her mother. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include a son, Michael and wife Alyce of Gurnee, Ill.; one grandson John Brennan and wife Tracy of Mundelein, Ill.; and two great-grandchildren Graham and Hanna Brennan of Mundelein. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dennis Coleman; and one sister, Lurene Griffiths."
