(Robert) Levi Ingle, b. March 1820 served in the Co. 60th NC Infantry, Light Artillary. He was captured after the Battle of Nashville, on Dec. 17, 1864, and marched to Louisville, KY, the held at Camp Chase, OH until he swore an oath of allegiance to the Union in March of 1865.

After the war, he moved his family to Marion County, AR.

Malinda Roberts (Mary (Polly) Deweese, Rev. Garrett, Henry) was born in Buncombe Co, NC around 1818.

She married Levi Ingle. Levi was born in 1819 or 1820. Enlisted Civil War age 42 in April 1862 Levi was the son of Isaac Henry Ingle and Mary (Ingle).

Levi Ingle was named as the husband of daughter Malinda in the settlement of the estate of Robert Gaines Roberts about 1840 in Buncombe Co, NC. In 1850 in the Census of 1850, Levi was listed as a head of household in Buncombe Co, NC. In 1860 in the Census of 1860, Levi was listed as a head of household in Madison Co, NC. 12 April 1862 at age 42, a resident of Madison County, he enlisted in Buncombe County in Company A of the 60th NC Infantry Regiment.

In 1880 Levi was listed in the 1880 Census as a head of household in Marion Co, AR. 12 June 1885 Levi purchased 162.58 acres in Twp 17N Ranges 17W, Sec. 6 and 18W, Sec. 1 & 12 in Marion Co, AR.

Malinda was named as a married daughter in the settlement of the estate of Robert Gaines Roberts about 1840 in Buncombe Co, NC.
