| The William Allen Family Home Page will eventually include detailed family information about the descendants of William Allen of Orange County, Indiana. William Allen (DOB: 12-Jan-1793, Kentucky; DOD: 9-June-1876, Orange County) came to Northwest Township in Orange County from Kentucky in 1836. He was accompanied by his wife Nancy Stone Allen (DOB: 14-Jan-1800, Tennessee; DOD: 1-Apr-1888, Orange County)and 8 children: Mary, John, Eliza, Elzira, Joseph, Thomas, William and Deliah. An additional 4 children were born to this couple after taking up residence in Indiana: Andrew, George, Jemima and Nancy. I am currently researching the additional family surnames which are maiden names of three wives in the Allen line: Stone, Cutsinger and Young. Rhoda Jane Cutsinger(DOB: 8-Mar-1837, Orangeville; DOD: 26-Jan-1910, Silverville) married my Great Grandfather, John(DOB: 8-Jan-1822, KY; DOD: 15-Feb-1896, Roland) on 5-Dec-1854 but I do not know her parents names or early family history. Pearl Valentine Young(DOB: 14-Feb-1882, Litchfield, Nebraska; DOD: 23-Dec-1950, Indianapolis) married my Grandfather, Willis Moore (DOB: 12-Mar-1872, Shoals; DOD: 16-Feb-1931, Indianapolis) on 12-Mar-1899 but I do not know her parents names or early family history. I would appreciate receiving any information and will be happy to share results of research I have done. |
