1. GALLANT¹ AYERS (Source: ROGER LETTERMAN......LETTERM@IBM.NET.) was born in Va., and died in Yancey Co. N.C.. He married (1) AMY ?. He married (2) ANNA BENNETT.

Notes for GALLANT AYERS:
Possible the spelling of Gallant is Garland, Garlint, Galaint, ect.
Believe Gallant was born around 1775 and was born in Va?????
He was in Franklin Co. Ga. in 1801 we know due to census records reference his son Moses Ayers who we believed (Moses) married his cousin Anna Ayers....
We believe he was in Ga till at least 1814 and then moved to Wilkes Co. N.C. and then settled in Yancey Co. N.C. at a place called Jack's Creek where he lived till his death..We are not sure why Gallant was in Franklin Co. Ga. except maybe that he was farming land.....We have located records of land for Gallant in Franklin Co. Ga where he paid taxes on property according to records...
Several of his children stayed in Wilkes Co. and we haven't figured out why except maybe family there.....Most of them later moved to Yancey Co. near their Father.......Wilkes Co. use to be part of Surry Co...N.C... Gallants Father and Mother are still a mystery??????

We are not absolutely sure this is right name, but believe so...we are unsure where she is from and her maiden name.....

It has been said that Moses and Anna were cousins?????
They never had any children of their own, but showed a great intrest and influence with nephews and neices......
