The Dorn-Allen Family Home Page

The most complete information I have is on my mother's side (Dorothy Carlton Dorn). Her father's side of the family came from England and originally settled in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Later they moved to the Midwest into Indiana and Iowa. Going back from the marriage of Carlton-Barrett are the following surnames: Fuller, White, Wells, Blodgett, Webster, Carleton, McMillan, Hutchins, McCollester, Marshall, Minot, Taylor, Clough, Rogers, Clements, Shaw, Youmans, Lamkin.
My mother's mother's surname is Hinde and they would have been in the Western area of Iowa in the late 1800's.
I know almost nothing about my father, William Maynard Dorn. He was born in Miami, FL in 1918.
