I am researching the Alfred York family. He was born in Covington, KY in 1831 and came to Oxville, IL. He was a blacksmith. He married Margaret Adams and they had 5 children. The John Leonard Alstrin came to Chicago, IL from Gothenberg, Sweden in 1871. He was born in 1851. He married Caroline Mathiessen, who was born in 1859. They lived in Chicago and had 5 children. He was a minister. I am looking for more information about either family.
