I have just started researching the Sheldon, Shinkle, and Alsip family lines. I have quite a bit of information about the Sheldon side of the family. My original ancestor was Isaac Sheldon of England, and then Maine. I know almost nothing about the Shinkle side of the family, except that my materal grandfather was John (Jack) Shinkle of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in Missouri (I think), but was educated in Kansas. He married Vera Philemon Hannah in 1919. The Alsip family comes from southern Illinois. Any information that you could send my way would certainly be of help. |
