| I first started doing genealogy in 1970. I remember Mother telling me I would finish.I might spend my life working on it. She was right of course, she usually was! Mother has been gone for over 11 months now, and in an effort to deal with her unexpected demise, and having also retire just over a year ago, I have devoted most of my time to genealogy. I have been very lucky, and have succeeded in knocking down numerous brick walls I had previously had no hope of ever getting past. Here are the names on my Family Tree Allen, Barbary, Bean, Belcher, Blivens-Bivens, Brooks, Burk, Burke, Carpenter, Childers, Conn, Cowen-Cowan, Crouch, Davis, Drake, Dugan, Emerson, Fennessey, Hefner, Hellings, Henderson, Hendrix, Hopper, Hovington, Howard, Jones, Kelly, Lynch, Matlock, Mertz, Morrissy, Nance, Nichols, Owens, Pew, Powell, Puckett, Ramsden, Ranson, Smith, Summy, Tharp, Trammell, Trudell, Vineyard, Wetzel, Williams, Womack, Woods, Worsham, You may not find all of these names on this web page. if you don't just contact me and I will tell you about any of them you want to know about I also have a online group of genealogical researchers that are currently researching early families in Transylvania Co., NC. Transylvania Co.,which as at one time part of Old Buncombe Co., NC, later Henderson Co., NC. If you are doing research in this county please feel free to e-mail me if you would like to join us. <WyleneL@aol.com> If you find that we connect on any of my lines please e-mail me, lets share our information. I discovered over the years that is the best way to save what you have, and most people will return the favor. "Kinda like that bread that was cast on the water". "The following is in Memory of my Mother, Modell (Crouch) Emerson who passed away, to soon, on March 17, 1999." Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on the snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. -Unknown- |
