ALTHOFF - HANNEBAUM - SCHILLING Home Page

Jobst Henry Althoff, son of Matthias Henry Althoff and Florentine Wiechert Althoff was born January 12, 1855 at Tittingdorf, Parocial circuit of Buer, near Osnabrueck, Germany. He immigrated to North America in August 1981. With him traveled his bride-to-be Maria Hannebaum.
Maria Hannebaum's family lived in the Belleville and Millstadt, IL areas. Some of the names that I am researching are William Hannebaum, Ernst Hannebaum, Lena Haas, Lena Scharf, Anna Boehm, Rosa Scharf, Dorothy Mueller, Emma Boehm, Otto Haas, Adolph Haas, Gustav Haas, Louise Buell, Mildred Grope, Alfred Boehm, Raymond Boehm, Edwin Boehm, Lester Boehm, Lorraine Boehm, and Florence Mitchell.

Following Maria's death, Henry Althoff married Charlotte Schilling Weber. She was the daughter of Carl F.G. Schilling and Carolina Stuhmeier. Carl Schilling geb. 8.4.1820 in Volmerdingsen, Germany and Wilhelmine Caroline Charlotte Stuhmeier geb. 5.9. 1829 in Volmerdingsen, immigrated to America in 1883. The other children of Carl and Carolina were ; Lena Wolff - Woker; Louise Witte - Heinrichsmeyer; Karl Schilling; Henry Schilling; Friedarika Pruehsner; and Ernst Schilling.
