The connection at this generation is very weak. Others have listed the parents
of the five brothers from Wilkes County as Charles Taliaferro and Ann Kemp but
there appears to be a generation missing. The name at the top of the family
bible pages submitted with the pension application of Franky Stamper Toliver
is that of a John Toliver, others have found that there was an elder "William"
Toliver living in the same area of North Carolina as the five brothers, but no
other information can be found at this time.
