I am continuing to add to all the hard work my grandmother has done over the years in tracing the Ambrose family. Primary surnames are Ambrose, Flemington, Koons, Gettemy, McGettigan, Brough, Felgar, and Countryman. The family history is mostly concentrated in PA, OH, and MD. Last update: 1/17/99 including new background data on Mathias Ambrose, John Frederick Ambrose, and Henry Ambrose. Also, I have added the Flemington and Beveridge trees. I am continually updating source information. I'm still looking for proof that John Frederick Ambrose was indeed the son of Mathias Ambrose. Also, we have not been able to trace Mathias (b.1695, d.1784) back to his german ancestry. Any help would be most appreciated. Please bear with me as I continue to develop this page.
