| Am searching for siblings and parents of GGGGGrandfather, CALEB BROWNING, B.ca 1762-63, Virginia or Maryland,(1850 census with JOHN states VA, 1860 Mortality sched. states MD., M. BETSY (ELIZABETH)ST. CLAIR/SINKLER/SINCLAIR,9/14/1791 in Bedford Co., VA.CALEB died in Lafayette Co.MS before 1860, may be buried in the BROWNING cemetary, Taylor Mississippi. Another very tough nut to crack is GGGranfather, NATHAN A. JORDAN, according to family, B. 1820 in Mississippi. Had 6 children by 1st wife, CAROLINA(E) SMITH from ALA. then showed up on 1860 Henderson County, Tx. census with ANN E. PHIPPS,new wife from NC. She was 1/2 or full blood indian. NATHAN didn't show up on the 1862 census and may have joined the Civil War as did his son, ZACHARIAH COLE JORDAN. Lastly, parents of CHARLES FREMONT TAYLOR,B.1857, Freedom, ILL, D. 1/30/1909, Jennings, LA. I have TAYLOR relatives dating back to EPAPHRO TAYLOR, 1795, NY.but not sure how they tie in to GGrandfather, CHARLES FREMONT TAYLOR. Charles' d.i.l., Sylva was a GATLIN (GATTLIN?). Her Father,GEORGE GATLIN/GATTLIN, was from Ill. and that's as far as I've been able to go on that line. Also, a huge THANK YOU to all the people in genealogy, definately the most helpful and just plain NICE people I've had the privilege to work with. Happy to share.
