Theodore Ryun died on January 15, 1945 at 2:26 P.M. at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. He had been hospitalized for 15 days. The cause of death appeared to be shock due to a post surgical hemorrhage. An operation performed on the day of his death discovered carcinoma at the head of the pancreas, obstructing the stomach and G.S. An autopsy was performed on January 16, 1945. He was buried at the Masonic cemetery in Des Moines, IA on January 17, 1945.
At the time of his death, he was aged 65 years, 8 months, 7 days. His address was 1832 Logan Ave., Des Moines, IA. He had been living in Des Moines for 32 years.

I have always been told that the correct name was Margaret Jane McCartney, and most of the documents that we have seen give the name as Margaret. However, when we asked about the name being given as Jennie Margaret McCartney in the John Grubb Genealogy, her daughter, Margaret Irwin (born Lillian Margaret Mahaffey) said that yes, the correct name was Jennie Margaret. Jennie's other daughter, JoAnn, had never heard the name as anything other than Magaret Jane.
