James Nicolas Amps of Tarvin Cheshire

I am a direct decendent of Joseph William Amps born 1876 in St Giles Cambridge England he was a stable lad and jockey, he left England in 1898 to work in France, in april of 1899 he was married in Gent Belgium and died in France in 1916 he had four children, his first born 1900 also named Joseph William was my father,
The father of Joseph W 1876,was William 1854 his father was Thomas 1809, his father was Joseph 1788, and his father was John 1756 I do not seem to be able to get pass 1756 as I would like to know of John father and beyond if possible.
