2. ALEXANDER2 BOOTH (JOHN1) was born 13 September 1826 in Aberdeen, and died 11 February 1910 in Aberdeen. He married ELIZABETH RATTRAY 31 December 1851 in Aberdeen, daughter of JOHN RATTRAY and HANNAH CUMMING. She was born 16 March 1831 in Aberdeen, and died 18 August 1914 in Aberdeen.

These certify, that the Bearer, John Booth, Holburn Street, has got the Birth,&c. of his son, recorded in my List, for Registration in the Parish register of Old Machar, and paid the Dues. 2/- to me.

This I write as my Will and Testiment.
Should I Pre Decease my wife Elizabeth Rattray or Booth. I hereby bequeth everything that I may Die possesed of to her the said Elizabeth rattray. To be used by her as she has the mind until her Death.
After which if there is any funds left they will be equally divided ammongst any of our Family that may survive her.
This I do the 3rd day of April 1894.

Died od Senile Decay at 6.55pm on 11th February 1910, the Funeral took place on Tuesday 15th February, 1910 at 3.00pm from the house to Trinity Cemetary.
The cost of the Funeral was:- Register of death - 1/3d. Evening Express of Sat 12th - 2/-, Express of Monday, Journal Tuesday - 4/6p, 18 1/2p stamps - 9p, Peaple Journal of Saturday - 6p, total 9/-.
Lair No. 453 Trinity Cemetery - £4.4/-, opening of the lair - 14/6p, total £4.18/6p.
Coffin - £2.12/-, Robe - 14/6p, Hearse - £1.15/-, 3 dozen cards - 4/6p, total £5.6/-.
Grand total of £10.13/6p.

Erected by John Booth in loving memory of his father and mother. Alexander Booth, Cross Street. died 11th Feby. 1910, aged 83 years. Elizabeth Rattray, died 16th August 1914, aged 83 years. Also their daughter Mary Emslie, died 10th July 1943, aged 78 years.

LIZABETH RATTRAY:
Elizabeth Rattray died at 129 Rosemount Place, Aberdeen on Tuesday 18th August, 1914 at 7.30pm. Her funeral took place on Friday 21st August, 1914 at 3.00pm from the house to Trinity Cemetary were she was buried along side her husband Alexander Boooth.
The cost of the funeral was :- Express & Abdn Journal - 4/6p, Extract of Death Certificate - 1/3p, Dr. Cheynes account - £2 15/-, Alexr. Innes & Sons Undertakers £5. 15/9p ( Coffin £2.15/-, Robe - 15/6p, Hearse - £1.15/-, Widows Cap - 1/9p, 3 dozen cards - 4/6p, and 1 cab - 4/-.), Mr. Duthies opening of the grave - 14/-, 1 artificial wreath from A Innes & Sons £1.2/6p and paid to Mrs. Emslie - 10/-.
Grand total of £11.3/-, paid by son John Booth, who lived at 49, Froghall Terrace, Aberdeen.

31st December 1851
Alexander Booth, Carpet Weaver, Windmill Brae and lizabeth rattery there, both in this Parish, signified their purpose of marriage by Mr. David Menie, Elder, being thrice proclaimed,they were married on the 31st December 1851, by the ReverendSimon Mackintosh,DD. Minister of the East Parish of Aberdeen. In the presence of Gordon Booth, Tailor in Windmill Brae and Murdie Mathieson 12 Hutcheon Street.
