2. WILLIAM2 GLENNIE (DAVID1) was born 8 September 1834 in Newhills, Aberdeen, and died 25 January 1864 in Aberdeen. He married ANN COUTTS 21 June 1860 in Banchory Devinick,Aberdeenshire, daughter of WILLIAM COUTTS and ANN REITH. She was born 28 January 1833 in Drumoak,Aberdeenshire.

GLENNIE :- David Glennie in Walton had a son born of his wife Anne Smith, 5th Aug. baptised 8th Sept. named William before witnesses John Glennie in Auchmill & John Smith in Peterculter
Inscription in Peterculter Graveyard.
Erected in Memory of David Glennie, late farmer in Walton of Newhills. died 23rd June 1838, aged 49: Anne Smith his spouse, died 24th June 1838, aged 27. Their infant child Anne, died 8th April 1838, aged 3 months. Their son William Glennie, House Carpenter in Aberdeen, died there 25th January 1864, aged 29.
