The William Simpson Family of Ft. Scott, KS

My Simpson family came originally from Ireland. The areas that I am currently researching are Hume, MO in Bates County, Linn County, MO and Ft. Scott, KS in Bourbon County.

William Simpson was born in Ireland in 1847. He married Sarah Neighbors from Virginia, but I have no other information on her.

They moved to Linn County, MO and later Hume, MO, and had 5 children, John L., George, Jane, William, and Minnie.

The family went to Ft. Scott, KS, where my grandfather (Walter Darrell Simpson) was born to George and Mattie (Spratt) Simpson in 1898.

William and his 3 sons worked for the Frisco Railroad. William died in Ft. Scott, KS in 1905. After William died, George brought his family to Champaign, IL. where he worked for the IC Railroad as an engineer. Many of the family are in the Champaign area.

I am trying to find more information on George, Sarah, and their other 4 children. Sarah did not come to Illinois with her son, but I cannot find a record of her death in KS. She was alive in 1905, and shows up in the city directory until 1907 and then there is nothing on her.

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
