RESEARCHING ALL BRANCHES AT ONCE!

Our family branches off in many directions. Currently, we're concentrating on the following surnames:

Anderson - Virginia to California, Brown - Massachussetts Bay Colony, vanderZee - Friesland to California, McGushin - Dromod, Leitrim, Ireland Curtis - Virginia

Stephens - Mississippi, Nevins - Galway to New York, Brown - Alabama and Mississippi, Whitelock - Maryland to New York, Wood - Vermont to New York, Kendall/Kindle - Virginia to Tennessee

We now have over 2500 names in our database.

Tom and I have been married four years, and although our families come from very different parts of the country, we are constantly amazed at how close some of our ancestors were. For example, our Irish ancestors lived in adjoining counties. Some of our English ancestors lived in the same county in Virginia at the same time.

We welcome all inquiries. tbander@sprynet.com

Especially interested in any ANDERSON/CURTIS connections in Stafford or Culpeper Co., Virginia - our earliest John Anderson, born 1812 - possibly in Fauquier Co. married to Delphina Curtis daughter of Tom Curtis of Culpeper Co. They had 12 children and their farm, Clover Hill was largely destroyed in the Civil War, although they lived there until their deaths. Children are: William A., Thomas, Peter, Jesse, John, James Herod, Annie Rebecca, Enoch, Marcellus, Mary E., Sarah, and Lewis - not necessarily in that order.

and

Any WHITELOCK connections in Cecil or Harford County, Maryland.

Earliest names are John Whitelock born 1815, married to Mary T. White, Children Frederick, Rebecca, and Harriet. They were orphaned at a fairly young age, and I haven't been able to find anything about John and Mary except where they are buried.
