I have posted this web page mainly for my family scattered across the country so they can see what my research has found. This information has come from many sources, much of it word of mouth and much of it undocumented. Many people have willingly shared their information with me. Please don't accept it is gospel without checking out your own sources. If you should see an error or have information to share, please e-mail me!

I would especially like to thank Angela Garcia ( magarcia@telus.net ) , who has done extensive research on the duQuesnay line, and Diana Southern, who is the expert on the English Brakes, for all their gracious assistance and for their sharing of information. Diana is always looking for new contacts on the Brake line. She can be e-mailed at DianaMSouthern@aol.com.

I am continually researching the ancestors and descendants of Edward (of Riverhead) Brake b. 1836 in Bay of Islands, and Josephine Duval b. 1856 in Sandy Point, and would be interested in sharing information.

In addition, I am researching the ancestors and descendants of Guillaume Tougard (Tougas)(Tougaw)(Tugaw)(Lovellette)(Laviolette) b. about 1644 in Fatouville, Normandy, France, and Marie Labbe, b. about 1644 in Fatouville, Normandy, France.

I am also researching the ancestors and descendants of Robinet leMercier (later generations duQuesnay) b. about 1425 in Vieux, France.

I have recently begun researching the ancestors of Samuel Perkins and would appreciate hearing from any Perkins from Jamaica.

Any information would be appreciated and I would be happy to share what I have. I will update as necessary so please visit often.
