I have always been somewhat interested in genealogy but did not get serious at it until this past year. What I have learned is that I fully intend on leaving a far greater paper trail for my decendants than some of them left for me. Just in case that somewhere in the year 2200,some Brenda Anderson of the future just happens to get bitten by the genealogy bug!
I am researching the following names and places:
Gröb or Gräb from Bukovina later changed to Groeb, Graeb or in my case, CRAPE (I intend on asking ol' Franz how he figured that one out some day!). And WILD both of BUKOVINA.Settled in Edenwold Saskatchewan area then Washington State
WITMAN From Kansas and possibly originating from Austria
SHAFFER or SCHAFER also from Kansas but first noted from Colorado
MAIER also Bukovina and saskatchewan
LARIO-First found in Quebec, then Ontario and New York and Sask.
GOUDY-Ireland and Ontario
ASHLEY-Kingston, Ontario:loyalist family from Derbyshire England
BUCK-Kingston; another loyalist family originated in Germany
CONWAY-Portland township Ontario presumed to be from the US
STEELE-Ontario. English
BREWSTER:Ontario I would love to find out where this one comes in!!Don't ALL of us with a Brewster in our tree's think a little about that Mayflower?
I have made every effort to screen my reports and I have removed all but the names of living individuals. If you happen to find your name in here and want me to remove it, please contact me and I will do so immediately!
Please contact me if you have anything to add or correct. I am looking forward to it!!
