"The Samuel Anderson family - Massachusetts to Kansas"

Samuel Anderson arrived in the colonies in the early part of the 1700s. From early records, found in Massachusetts and New York, I have been able to establish a continuing movement west by his descendants. The path leads to Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and finally to Kansas.
Samuel's descendants fought in the Revolution and in the Civil War. Records have verified both instants.
I am currently trying to locate the port of entry into the Colonies and the exact date.
