Andrew Jackson Anadown; born December 1832, Dayton, OH: name changed to Anderson by the Ohio state legislature in the 1860's. Don't know if he was a horse thief or not (grin). He married Phoebe (or Phebe) Van Fleet, (born Aug 15, 1837, Columbus, OH, died March 16, 1930 Colorado Springs, CO) wedding took place on September 3, 1853, Columbus, OH. Their children, Thomas Henry and William Martin both born in Dayton, OH: Thomas was born March 3, 1855, William was born in 1857 and died April 16, 1865. Thomas Henry married Liza Leota Morgan, December 3, 1876, in Girard, Kansas. She was the grand-daughter of William Turner Morgan and Catherine Parrish of WV. He was born January 16, 1791, in either Deleware or West Virginia. Her father, Syrus Newton was born in Farmington, WV June 22, 1833 and died in Girard, Kansas December 3, 1903. Her mother was Leverne Sharpe, from Worthington, WV..Anyway, Liza Leota was born January 15, 1857 in Farmington, WV, no death was recorded in our family record, but I assume she died in Girard, Kansas along with her husband. This may be sketchy, but its all I have thus far. If anyone knows anymore about these folks, I would certainly appreciate them sharing the info. One more bit of data, Joseph Morgan, Syrus Newton's father, came to West Virginia from Deleware. He married a Chirss(?), or something similar to that.
